✅ Compression complete

Your compressed PDF is ready.

🔒 Your PDF is processed entirely on your device using your browser's memory. Numvexa never sees or stores your files.

⚠️ Compression works by re-rendering each page as an image. This greatly reduces file size but means the text in the output PDF is no longer selectable or searchable. Use Low/Recommended for scanned documents and photos; for text-heavy PDFs where you need to keep selectable text, compression isn't recommended.

How PDF Compression Works

This tool renders each page of your PDF onto a canvas at a reduced resolution and re-saves it as a new, smaller PDF — similar to how image compression reduces a photo's file size.

1
Choose your PDF. Click the box above or drag and drop a PDF file.
2
Pick a compression level. Lower levels produce smaller files but slightly reduced sharpness.
3
Compress. Click "Compress PDF." Each page is re-rendered at the chosen quality and reassembled into a new PDF.
4
Download. Your compressed PDF downloads straight to your device.

Good to know: because every page becomes an image, this method works best for scanned documents, photo-heavy PDFs, or files you only need to view and print. If you need to keep text selectable and searchable, this tool isn't the right fit.
