How PDF Compression Works
This tool renders each page of your PDF onto a canvas at a reduced resolution and re-saves it as a new, smaller PDF — similar to how image compression reduces a photo's file size.

Good to know: because every page becomes an image, this method works best for scanned documents, photo-heavy PDFs, or files you only need to view and print. If you need to keep text selectable and searchable, this tool isn't the right fit.
